This post is likely to change on a regular basis. I’ll be using it to learn the editor, and maybe pass along some things I learn.

Something I’ve found important are the two tabs on the near upper right called “Visual” and “HTML”. Good to switch back and fourth to see what is going on.

Also, pasting URL’s directly into the editor seems to cause the text issue. As soon as you put in something with the html colon backslash backslash, WordPress automatically creates a code for the hyperlink. That’s what that code button is all about in the editor bar, but I’m still playing with it.
