Yeah, I did enjoy the tax cuts. When Obama was talking about extending them only for the middle class last year, the Democrats had to finally tell the truth about the “tax cuts for the rich.” Over the next ten years, extending the tax cuts across the board was estimated to leave $3.7 trillion in the hands of those who earned it. Extending only the tax cuts for the middle class changed that number to $700 billion. In short, $3 trillion – about 80 percent of the tax cuts – was for taxpayers making under $250,000. You can calculate backwards to figure out what the middle class got to keep since 2003. I notice there hasn’t been a lot of noise on that issue either.

Whoa, I’ve gotten cynical.

That being said, we’ve been over this. But then, it wasn’t really about the waterboarding. It was about doing whatever it took to cover for the Bush administration.

Their motivations are to carry out the murder of innocent civilians. Ours are preventing the murder of innocent civilians. That’s another thing to remember.
