in oil subsidies, won’t that raise the price of gas and the price of heating oil, blah, blah blah? And all the things made out of oil, like women’s hosiery, etc.
But then, if it does, consumers who actually USE oil products will be paying for them and not every person, some of whom don’t use gas or oil products? Granted, that may not be many but why should they pay for my usage of gas to go to work or the grocery store? So the price of gas and other oil products will go up more than the $4B. Of course, oil companies will always look for excuses to sock it to the consumer anyway.
I’m just asking questions here for a discussion, not giving license to go off on anti-liberal tangents. We’ve been playing nicely lately (the only good thing OBL ever did) and I’d like to see if we can continue to do so, discussing not dissing.
Now, after that brief announcement, back to our program. I have been asked to sign a petition to roll back that $4B and I have to decide if I want to be part of it or not. Also whether to forward the petition to my long list of friends with a recommendation to sign or not.
