Regarding the douchbag, our privacy has always been measured by our unimportance. Fortunately, or unfortunately,nearly everyone is important to someone. The internet pretty much ended the illusion of privacy and there is not much we can do about it.

An imperfect solution might be a return to the code of honor and duels to settle invasion of privacy.

Perhaps she should put up a billboard with a picture of his penis and a measuring stick.

As far a Weiner, Jimmy Carter would say he lusted in his heart. So, yep, he was unfaithful by intent if not by act. I’d divorce the SOB because it’s just a matter or time before he DOES sleep with someone else.

All marriages have their own rules, not for me to negotiate. I’d consider sending a picture o’ the wedding tackle to be a serious breach of the vows. So’d Mrs P. And then some.

The second guy is a loser, striking out. I’m no lawyer, but this is awfully close to a violation of HIPAA laws protecting the privacy of medical records. Not only that, he is hurting her on purpose, mindfully, willingly going out of his way and spending his coin to hurt and shame another person who is certainly wounded already. That’s a sin, in my philosophy.

I suspect that a high percentage of women would take a dim view of their husband or boyfriend sending pictures of their naked dick to other women. As for physical cheating, there’s a hell of a lot of smoke around for there to be no fire.

Second one? The information is contradictory, but my initial take on it is that the guy who put up the billboard is, indeed, a douchebag. I’m not sure what enforcable “right to privacy” any of us have any more. If the same guy put up a popular YouTube of his girlfriend picking her nose or scratching her butt, he would still be a douchebag, but would he be in legal trouble?

Remember, this was not a one night stand, or even an affair. Those things happen and can be forgiven. Providing consenting adults are involved, it is only a matter between him and his wife. But this was a pattern of serial bad judgment from someone who might conceivably be handling classified material, etc. If nothing else, he was opening himself to blackmail.

As for his wife, she certainly has every right to kick his butt out too. Again, this is not a question of a single mistake, it is a pattern of repeated mistakes.

As for billboard guy, the fact his girlfriend’s identity is not specified is not quite true, as you point out. Presumably, everyone who recognizes his likeness will probably know who he’s talking about. Her privacy is invaded.
