Apparently there are several lawsuits in the works. If a few PDs or municipalities are forced to pay some hefty settlements, it could change the landscape.

*Sigh* I wish I could say this is the first time I've heard about incidents like these, but.....

The sad fact is, officers of the "law" have been getting away with this crap for a long time, and it's manly due to the lack of stable structure in almost every part of government.

The sad part is, almost everyone I talk to accepts this as a way of life, and refuse to try to strive for a better one. And yet they constantly complain about these situations,

In the meantime, I'm moving to Denmark. Or Lichtenstein. or Iceland.

I really believe we need the courts to say we have the right to film them anytime, anywhere (well, other than obvious things like in the bathroom, unless they're doing something illegal there) because these guys (and gals) work for US and it is obviously left to us to be their oversight since they seem incapable of doing it themselves.

If they're not careful, people will start lobbying for a federal law giving us that right.

Thanks for posting that Eri.

There are quite a few related "raw" videos on YouTube, which of course must be watched with with a mind that's both open and critical.

For years, people feared that government cameras would hover over them 24/7, watching and recording their every move. But it turns out that its the citizens who've put the government under the stare of the lens.

Incidents like this have become unpleasantly common recently. One of the sites I read regularly posts them.
