I found endless papers on this, all over the map, but the lowest numbers I found were in the mid-20 percent range for "effective" tax rates. So I just went out and found out what the 2008 profits were and what taxes were actually paid. By definition, this has to account for ALL tax gimmicks used. I modified my initial statement. Will they?
