I don’t know if his book is available online. Would have been interested to see how he managed to work eclipses. Or explained why the view from New Zealand wasn’t the most amazing in the world.

I’ve seen a lot of old theories of what the world looked like, but this is the first one that shows Mother Earth as a giant birdbath. One expects the angels perched on the rim to jump in and start splashing around.
