How can you trust the Dems to commit to real spending cuts when we saw exactly how they acted a few months ago at the idea of cutting less than $30 billion dollars? And as it turned out later, most of those cuts were smoke an mirrors.

But you see, that’s not true. The Democrats did not just take office a month ago. For two solid years, the Democrats didn’t need any Republican votes. What did they do? Who refused to present a budget? In 2010, with absolute control, the Democrats stubbornly refused to produce a budget. The Senate is closing in on three years now without one. The Obama budget was D.O.A, voted down in the Senate unanimously. Think about that. Who’s been ducking negotiations? Who’s been having the secret meetings? Who rejected their own budget commission?

They’ve got nothing. I suspect this latest ploy is more of the same.

The Democrats have one thing in mind: Keeping the presidency and getting their power back. To do that they have to go a year and a half without anyone finding out what they’re about: massive spending and taxes, and all-powerful government. Good luck on that.

And how exactly is reducing spending by $3-$4 trillion over the next decade going to help when the projected deficits for that time are going to be well over $10 trillion? They’re still digging us into a hole in which we can’t climb out of…only at a slower rate.

Obama had no problem voting no on raising the debt ceiling. Seems like one of the few votes he made that was right.

What is familiar is your litany about Democrats and frankly, I’m sick of it. The Republicans refuse to negotiate, have refused from the moment we had a Democratic majority in the House at the beginning of the Obama administration. Republicans act in bad faith constantly with the “my way or the highway” attitude. They lie down on the fracking highway, I’ll run over the SOB’S.

The Right wing of the Republican party are trying to provoke an economic crisis so they can blame it on Obama. Their plan will backfire.

Not everyone in the electorate, in fact, not even everyone on the Right, is of the Tea Party persuasion.

When I read today that Obama had put Medicare and Medicaid cuts on the table, I was fit to be tied. I have no one left to vote for. No one. The article said that the plan was to take it out of Hospitals and Nursing Homes so it wouldn't affect seniors' benefits. How fucking stupid do these assholes think we are? When Seniors can no longer find space in their Hospitals and Nursing Homes because they quit taking Medicare/Medicaid patients due to insufficient reimbursement rates, then it will have certainly affected every senior. P.S. The Democrats have been stalling on this. Remember, they had total power for two solid years to fix anything they wanted.

And they’ve been stalling on the budget since January. I suspect it’s so they can shove something through in a last-minute panic without anyone really analyzing or reading it. Sound familiar?
