I don’t have an ideal candidate. In fact, I firmly believe political “heroes” are a bad idea in the first place.

Someone with the right ideas about government and the people would be essential. I’m talking about someone with a long history of these principles, who knows what they are and where they came from, not just someone who reads them off the index cards. You can tell talking to somebody if they’ve really internalized ideas or not.

I do know that almost anyone in the current Republican field would probably do less damage than the current president is doing.

TB…you once asked me who I wanted to see run for President. Perry is my choice. As time goes on you will see why as I post various reasons. Wouldn’t mind seeing Jindal as his running mate.

Well, Texas elected Georgie Porgie, too, and then you elected him President. Look how well THAT turned out. We got us two wars and a staggering deficit, not to mention a recession that is going to be called a depression when history writes about it.

I see. You don’t care how many people someone may kill, even if some are unjustly killed, as long as that person creates jobs.

I have a vision of Perry with a machine gun shooting people while trying to create new jobs. Trying is the operative word. The last thing I read Texas is in trouble there, too.

Really? Look how Perry is being discussed. He’s a “piece of shit.” A “thug, a brute, a gangster.” Based on what? Vague accusations, a death row case that is balanced like an inverted pyramid on the testimony of one man who makes a living out of shaking up arson cases, and a gut level, mindless hatred of conservatism. His looks, for God’s sake.

I’m not impressed.

The people of Texas have elected him three times, and arguably he has done a hell of a lot better for his state than your heroes have done for the nation.

It’s very easy to despise the right. You hardly have to think at all.
