To be fair, Tycho is a very young crater (as these things go), about 100 million years old, and has not been exposed as long to the slow processes that have "smoothed" a lot of the rest of the Moon's surface.

You know what you've done? ~~~~~~

You've destroyed a recent science myth.
Up until the 1960's,there was a myth that the Moon was craggy and had
mountains that were jagged.

Then the new 'myth' emerged after Apollo, that the Moon lacked cliffs and steep slopes and escarpments.
And, with the exception of some steep slopes within rilles, the moon was either relatively flat or had hummocky rolling hills & highlands and rounded mountains.

But the picture of Tycho clearly shows
steep slopes that are best described as
cliffs in some parts of the central peak.
Neil & Buzz would have needed mountain climbing gear.
