To use the example that was annoying you, the top quintile of households in this country pays 69 percent of ALL Federal taxes, including payroll, corporate, and excise. If we’re just talking income tax, it’s 86 percent. The top quintile’s share of income is 56 percent. This does not require “interpretation.” It’s arithmetic. It’s rational from the ground up.

It’s how you interpret them that is wrong. You interpret to fit your political beliefs instead of starting with numbers and looking at them rationally and logically.

Read it again. You’re the one who told me a few posts back that my IRS numbers on who pays most of the taxes were, as you put it, “skewed figures.”

You have a long history of simply discarding any facts that counter your worldview, regardless of the source.

The desperate socialist class-warfare propaganda the Democrats are now firing out in all directions shows that they’ve come to the bottom of a barrel that was not all that deep to start with.

You should stop and listen to yourself sometime. So now IRS figures lie? How pathetic you are, looking desperately to lay this at anyone’s door but where it belongs, Big Business. Or did their bottom line suddenly become to do good and not make profits?
