I was joking about my ex; however, he physically did have some characteristics that might have been a bit of throwback. He was hirsute and his features were not what I call refined. He was quite good-looking but one could presume he had some of that DNA floating in his body.

His former military employers (he got out after 4 years) wouldn't have cared one way or another as long as he did his job well and he did.

However, there were some emotional attributes that also were not exactly modern. I remember him asking me to tone down my vocabulary because it intimidated our friends. Had I been a bit older then, I would have said to him, "Then we need new friends."

I got new friends. I doubt he did. So he is now quite certainly an excellent example of a redneck with a white collar. You never know what may be hiding under collars.

I wonder what your husband thinks of that... or his military employers. I can see the bioweapons now.

Silliness aside, the concept of human-neanderthal interbreeding has been around for a while now.
