Not surprisingly, the media loves McCain again.

Nothing gets more positive press than any Republican willing to take a big, greasy dump on conservatives.

I'd like to see McCain's actual speech, too. I don't know in what context he was quoting that article. So far, I can't find it on Thomas.

We're out of time. Trillion dollar deficits are now our ground state.

Cripes.

And do you really think we should be voting for people who think the goal is to have a hell of a lot more people as government dependents?

Why should Dems be any different from Republicans who never acknowledged that Barack Obama was voted in as President. You've done every thing you could from Day One to undermine him and this country. Very un-American. No, wait, I guess that IS America now. Screw everybody and get as much money and power as you can and then screw them some more to squeeze every last drop out of them and let's make sure the bulk of the burden is on the little people who can least afford it.

And that is what I think of the Nazis in control of the current House. Boehner looks like he's going to have a stroke. He hasn't even been crying his crocodile tears lately.

A lot of Republican leaders seem to think that if they just spend the next fifteen months doing whatever the Democrats want...

You put McCain in that group? I hope not. He simply understands that a nation is made of people, not robots. You can't re-program people and think they'll just change, or that their expectations will change. These things take time.

The hard fact of it is that many Americans rely on the government, and if you just pull the rug out from under them in one fell swoop, you're going to cause serious problems. It can't be done all at once.

I remember the Lord of the Rings and the hobbits, and how that worked out in the end.

The 2010 election, which as far as Democrats are concerned never actually happened, was driven by the principle that the government spends too damn much money and has gotten too damn big and that we need to do something serious, soon. (There seem to be a hell of a lot of hobbits out there.)

A lot of Republican leaders seem to think that if they just spend the next fifteen months doing whatever the Democrats want, they'll win the same great victory in 2012 as they did in 2010 and then they can "really do something." This is what we call a "learning disability."
