This is the Senate's Minority Leader July 30, 2011 1:23 am Eri

This is the corrupt Senator from Kentucky who is threatening a filibuster while the country goes down the tubes. Read all about him here.

Mark my words… The Republicans are going to pay a heavy price for their shenanigans and refusal to deal. They’re trying to make this whole thing a repeat affair for the upcoming elections. It’s a political machination, pure and simple. Except it’s neither pure nor simple. Instead of taking their majority and doing something positive with it, they’ve done nothing but play around round of politician brinksmanship.

If I could draw, I’d draw a cartoon of an old-style WWII aircraft dive bombing into a big banner that says US Economy. On the side of the plane is written: Kamikaze Congress.

You know that people are calling their Republican Senators and Congressmen and raising hell when ones like Roy Blunt from Missouri are ready to deal rationally. I’ve e-mailed Blunt twice and e-mailed our Democratic Senator and called her office. I couldn’t leave a message on her phone. It was full. People are riled up over this and they are pissed at both parties but the Republicans are the ones showing their asses and proving just where their interests lie–political brinksmanship, not the country’s interests.
