I understand there is a movement for 13 counties in Southern California to split from California and become the 51st State.

I know that this is theoretically possible, but I wondered if the Feds would somehow step in and block this due to the difficulty of fitting a 51st star on the flag and other matters they might feel compelled to mettle in, pricks that they are. :)
