Replace Homie with Tom? I hate anything that sounds like referring to oneself in the third person.

I remember when “Right On” became a pop exclamation. For a long time I thought it was “Ride On”. I still think that sounds cooler.

Some old favotites of mine are “not my cup of tea” and the very corny “let’s make like a tree and leave”. “Let’s blow this joint” used to be cool but it sound gay these days.

If you really wanted to be passive aggressive, you could have turned on her sprinkler and left it on for her to turn off when she got home, (you got busy and forgot it was on). I guess that’s passive, sometimes I get confused on that.

I like the phrase, “Let’s roll!” It’s a call to action, something positive. The saying, “That’s not how I roll…” is a negation and invites twitty comments like, “You roll ‘em, I’ll smoke ‘em.” Which would be a way of saying, “You roll ‘em my way and I’ll kill them.” Also could imply someone is roly-poly. I don’t like the reference.

Actually…I love it. I was watching National Geographic last night. They are showing a documentary on 9/11.

I remember one of our heroes on Flt.93 use the term “Let’s Roll”….and *that* is my frame of reference.
