Local honey is made from local flowers which will be the ones to which you'll be allergic so the local stuff helps you NOT react to the local flora. If you've ever been on a trip to another part of the USA and found that your allergies clear up while gone, that is the reason. I'd go to Arizona or New Mexico and be as clear as a bell. Flying home, as we got halfway through Kansas, my nasal passages would clog up like drain pipes filled with sludge. I’ve always been told to buy local because honey helps fight allergies.
