Cameron's college prof. had to excuse himself yesterday and dismiss class early because he is also a firefighter and was called upon....This year we are about 200 miles North of the fires. However, 20 years ago when there was drought, I could not get to my home after shopping at a nearby mall because my street was blocked...fires about 200 yards away. When I took a lesser known back road, I got caught in the dense smoke that the fires caused and could not see two inches in front of me. Like a moron.....I lowered the car window and stuck my head out as if that would help me see. The fire was jumping the roads. Damn...I was so scared for my family I almost puked.
