My son, in a young and stupid moment some years ago, took a healthy chomp out of one of those little teeny peppers. You know the ones.

I had him rinse his mouth with Alka Seltzer Gold (fizzy bicarb). Worked pretty good.

You must have done it wrong, then. Dammit, how many times do I have to tell you that water spreads pepper spray and makes it worse. Now if the water boarding was done with milk or cream, it would inactivate the pepper but who wants to waste milk or cream on spammers?

That’s why they serve sour cream with Mexican food. NEVER drink water with it!!!!!

You have to pepper spray them after the waterboarding, or it washes right off. I’ve screwed up on that more than once.

The other kind of posts we will not not tolerate are posts that call for or document extreme violence. Such comments will be deleted and the author sanctioned. No argument, no appeal.

And spam, of course.

To be clear about this, Bowser, you have the ability to delete, etc., Frank’s posts. Or my posts, or anyone’s posts for that matter. You can move threads to other boards. You can edit them. It’s all right there on the dashboard if you look around for the buttons.

Frank has the responsibilty of keeping his eye on the CE board to keep it clean. But he has no more power than you do. You are all moderators.

This is a whole different set up than the Zone That Was, or The Damn TikiWiki. We need to move on and accept the responsibility that we all have with this power over the content of the HZ-Wordpress. I took the chance of giving everyone this power because otherwise editing your own posts was difficult without it, and I didn’t think it was fair for the modsquad to be able to edit their own posts when nobody else could. And since some formating was only possible after editing, it was a handicap to the general population here. So I made everyone who has started a thread an editor, including you, when you came back aboard.

It’s a shortcoming of WordPress, and I don’t like it, but so far, everyone has followed the Honor Code, and it is good. Were this place to grow much larger, I think we’d have to re-evaluate this policy, or get our engineer to re-configure the interface.

If you look around the controls, you’ll see that even deleted posts (called trashed, here) are still accessible to editors. There is a way to totally delete posts and comments, but I hope this is not used by the editor population without cause.

I applaud your call for a truce, but am not surprised, for I have always seen you as a man with a deep sense of honor.

By the way, the only additional power I have as administrator is access to the user list: adding them, deleting them, and changing their roles. Otherwise, we are all in the same boat, The HZ-Wordpress, and we all have a role in its future.

Hope you continue to be part of that future.
