Back in the day of the original Zone, there was no formatting menu at all, and we had to remember all those HTML codes to do links, pictures, and all the rest. Somebody on this board mentioned the paragraph trick early on to create "subject lines," but I forgot it and had to rediscover it when somebody mentioned it again a couple of weeks ago.

<p> beginning of text </p> Thanks. So some of the menu items are hidden. Now why didn't I think of that?

So now we have a way of making a "subject line".

There's no menu item for it, it's a direct command (like a=href and stuff)

Put (p) at the beginning of the text, and (/p) at the end. Except, of course, with those sideways arrows instead of parentheses. Same as you'd set up italics or other things like that.

Where is this "paragraph command"? It would be very useful.

I see b, i, link, b-quote, del, ins, img and several others, when I'm editing, but no p/p.

I know there seem to be several different command modes (I keep on falling into them accidentally) but I can't seem to select them deliberately.
(See post about accidentally trashing a thread, below).

AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH! When will geekdom learn robustness and flexibility are antithetical, and that ease of use trumps multiple capabilities for the mere user? Most people get very frustrated at having to learn complex ways to do simple things.
