I think that’s pretty much a no brainer. There were a few reports about CIA and millitary adivors working with the rebels. No doubt it helped them win the war.

The right has no grounds to ever imply Obama as weak. He’s majorly ramped up the war against the ones who actually attacked us, to the point Al Qadea may be on the verge of defeat. The left shouldn’t bitch because we are on the verge of complete withdrawl from the useless war in Iraq within a year, and Afghanistan withdrawl is also beginning.

Yeah, and I’m sure if he sent in the Airborne the Tea Party would wholeheartedly support him.

Besides, that may be a bass-ackwards way of looking at this. Remember, as long as Gadaffi controlled those weapons, we had no influence over, and little knowledge of, them. Now at least we have a chance of locating, and inventorying them, maybe even interdicting some and tracking the others.

We have a foot in the door now, and confusion on the ground, that’s got to be better than a fully-in-control crackpot determined to destroy us.

If Obama publicly sends U.S. troops into Libya on the ground, his base will flay him alive. He’s already looking pretty sick on the war-related promises he made before his election.

It’s possible things are being done behind the scenes. Frankly, I hope so.

I don’t understand why the WH is not willing to send teams of SEALS, Green Berets, and CIA operatives into Libya to confiscate
those things (Uranium yellowcake, surface-to-air missiles, mustard gas) lying around Libya which in the wrong hands can come back to haunt America.

Cavalry was quickly replaced with tanks.

Military aircraft already have a lot of defenses against these things.

I’ve seen some questions about whether or not the “20,000″ number is accurate, but any number is a concern.
