Correction, the two forks both went to his house, one maybe a slightly more circuitous route but they both got you there.

Those siege weapons would make excellent engineering projects...... Plus, they'd be awesome for Renaissance Faires. I wonder if we have anything like the Burlington Pumpkin Pitch around here?

The funny thing is that when analyzed, Yogiisms often make perfect sense. There's a Zen quality to them that is very profound. A sort of internal symmetry.

Another master was Casey Stengel.

LOL! OK, Yogi, will do.

Did you know that it is a real story, and the road where Yogi lived, had a fork in it where you could only go one way. The other half of the fork was blocked or not drivable. LOL.

Maybe the superstition got its origin from the African slaves the Spaniards brought to Cuba. Although the slaves were West African, mostly Yoruba, a part of Afica where there are relatively few elephants.

Just speculating...But I do know elephants were a big deal around my house.

No, we got them from the picture books the gringos brought with them.

Or maybe it was the Spaniards.

Or maybe it was a racial memory from when Hannibal invaded Iberia on his way to attack Italy.

Why elephants? I have no idea. Superstitions are by their very nature hard to explain.
