I had a female friend in NOLA who was attractive, worldly and intelligent. She absolutely hated the word cunt. Spoken or in print, she would go postal, and forget about calling her that word. I never understood it and she was so sensitive about it, talking about it was not an option. Being a genuinely nice guy, I have never been called a dick, but I am sure it wouldn't bother me that much. :) Amusing story about that word.
