That leads me to believe that our minds are capable of much more than we think, that there is some way we can negate at least some of our physical ailments. But we would have to learn how to get into a totally different state of mind without it actually being a mental disorder of split personality.

My sister was a therapist (a damn good one) so I’m a bit more familiar with a lot of the psychological stuff than most people. My sis worked with me and I studied her methods and then used them on her when she needed help. I’m a mimic in that I can pick up things like that and do them from intuition. I’ve always been really good at reading body language.

I’ve always thought that “Sybil” and “Bridey Murphy” were somehow related in a netherworld of someones fantasy. However, a previous study by Thigpen and Cleckley has stood up. I remember reading it shortly after it came out and thinking that it was somehow surreal.

Apparently multiple personality disorders have a sound theoretical basis but are much like amnesia. There are more of them faked than exist to this degree. It can be convenient.

We all have something of a multiple personality. Clearly the person in the midst of a temper tantrum is exhibiting another personality as are some people who get quite nervous or afraid.
