Both parties are in the back pockets of all big corporations. No one can get elected if they aren't. I did not suggest that Obama was immune to those pressures.

What I am suggesting once again is that when a foreign politician is demonized there is an ulterior motive, always dollars. When American military lives are spent, it is always for dollars. It is not for freedom or democracy.

A gullible public takes umbrage. Americans were reminded of the Pan Am flight brought down by Libyan terrorists. Americans have forgotten the Iranian scheduled airliner shot down by an American military vessel. That, of course, was an "accident". A manipulated American public was told it was.

We forget that Bush publically pledged $500 million to stir unrest in Iran, we forget we are assassinating Iranian scientists, and get upset when an Iranian plots against an enemy.

I'm simply suggesting that people could, after enough times, stop and look at what is happening instead of believing what Fox News and the American government is spoon feeding them.

Most of that oil went to European nations,
which might explain some of the enthusiasm of the Europeans for this project.

Nobody's going to be sorry he's gone, but it's been fun to see the gyrations liberals have performed to make Saddam's ouster and waterboarding confessed terrorists "war crimes" while a couple of thousand killed by Predator attacks and the elimination of Ghaddafi are great foreign policy victories.

I'm not saying any of these positions are right or wrong, but some consistency would be nice.

On a related note, does anybody still remember how Obama kept telling us he wasn't running the Libya operation, just providing some peripheral support, and this was all those NATO guys? It wasn't really even a military action?

Now suddenly he's the one running around showing everyone the notch on his gun.

Funny that it was Obama's crew that spearheaded the war effort

Republicans voted against authorizing military action. But then 98 out of 242 house republicans voted to defeat a bill to stop funding the war (republicans are blamed for the failure)

If you're right about the oil then It looks like both parties are in the back pockets of the oil companies.
