It hasn't occurred to Cain that he shouldn't have done it. The problem is that a political rival let the media in on the secret. By the way, if he hadn't done it, if they gave everyone who accused him of harassment, every female employee would have filed for their year's severance payment. Just what is Cain's view of politics? Did he think that rivals would have kept that secret? Did he think his denials would hold? Did it occur to him that the best course of action would be to not harass instead of whining about being found out?
