Cain, Perry, Bachmann, Gingrich. One major party is considering nominating one of these people, among others, for President of the United States and has another, Palin, waiting in the wings for VP or a stalemate. Presumably these are among the very best and the brightest this party can muster.
There is something terribly wrong with any group which would put these folks forward. Gingrich, I’ll allow, is very bright, I admire him for that. He is, however, the consumate hypocrite and even though some evangelist has said Gingrich is “forgiven” in the eyes of God and that evangelist, that doesn’t change the fact.
Everyone knows the problems with these people. It is just astounding that they are taken seriously by any group, let alone proposed for President. The party of “character counts”, and family values should include stupidity and hypocrisy in their admired virtues because once again they are promoting seriously flawed people.
They did get Reagan and 2 Bushs elected, so money can purchase elections. They aren’t stupid in that regard. But the people of the US should wise up sooner or later to the massive insults perpetrated on them by these folks.
