Would anyone argue that those soldiers should get CARE packages? What if those people had gone overseas to kill other human beings were killing in order to secure more oil for Western oil companies at gunpoint? Would that change things? What if those people were killing more innocent people than insurgents, more civilians than combatants, in the quest for oil? Would that change things? Should the American guards at Abu Ghraib get CARE packages? The real question is should the people pay taxes to the leadership which abuses the men and women of the military by sending them off to kill other human beings for immoral reasons. The troops deserve support, of course, and people need a way to protest such immorality. Imagine, some people oppose abortion but support killing for oil. Just being the Devil’s Advocate, what if those people who had gone overseas to kill other human beings were killing Americans? Would anyone argue that those soldiers should get CARE packages?
