If you want a way to pass some time you could modify something I did the last time I was in one.

I’m laying there, drugged up to my green gills, talking to people who aren’t around and in comes a comely nurse. I perk up a bit, and as she’s doing something to my shoulder I ask her,

“Do patients ever make passes at you?”

She kind of laughed, and replied, “Oh, yeah, once in a while. They’re usually under the influence of a lot of drugs.?”

Cleverly, I thought, I respond, “Which ones work?”

She laughed and left the room. Whenever she returned she was smiling.
