Invade Iraq, kick down dem doors. Arrest everyone. Abu Ghraib. Invade Afghanistan, blow away dem Paks. Don’t fund the UN because it supports population control.
But by Gawd, do not come for my light bulbs of the incandescent variety. Do not restrict my freedoms, my rights. Listen in on every phone call, email, anything, but do no invade my privacy checking on light bulbs. I have a gun and I know how to use it.
What next will they want? I can’t imagine what could be worse than this, frankly. Forcing me, at gunpoint, to use CFLs or somesuch. Government is way too big, too powerful when they can come for me over a light bulb. It’s a goddamned shame, worse than the internment of Japanese Americans at the start of WWII. You know why? Because they could use incandescent light bulbs in those internment camps. There’s nothing to make one feel more secure than to see a warm yellow light reflecting off a .50 cal. machine gun barrel pointed at you. Incandescent bulbs were providing that warm, fuzzy feeling the way CFLs never could.
First they came for light bulbs. Next they will come for my belts and suspenders, to prevent me from running when they try to arrest me, at gunpoint, for using incandescent bulbs. After that my shoes for the same reason. Where will it end? Will it end? Can I get OWS to put it on their list? What’s wrong with those misguided bastards, anyway? What does Wall Street have to do with light bulbs? They need to get on the stick before people die guarding their hoard of incandescent bulbs. Shot by their own people who have betrayed their Constitutional Right to freedom of choice.
