The first guy moves a pawn, the second cuts a card, the third grabs one die, and the 4th hits his buzzer and says, “What is bullshit, Alex?”

Then the first guy says “It’s all bullshit, you morons!”, the second says shut up and deal, the third says “The mark is 8!” and the 4th says “If you jerks can’t get it together and define “bullshit” this is going nowhere.

The first guy says the thread is about chess, the second says why then the dice, the third guy asks if anyone besides himself has anted and the 4th says, “I’ll take intellectual landfills for $400, Alex.”

And it’s downhill from there.

Rather like the real Pearl Harbor, it was designed to point out the error of my ways rather than either be a gift or an expression of gratitude.

Thankfully it was far more polite than the original Pearl Harbor. And it enabled me to point out the errors of his ways, and for him to point out the error of mine, and me the errors of his, and him the errors of mine, and me the errors of his.

In chess it would be known as the “HZ maneuver”, each party pushing a pawn forward then bringing it back, the pushing the next pawn and pulling it back, over and over and over until the game is abandoned and each party moves over to another board and the game is repeated.

After a while each party declares himself undefeated and retires, falling asleep while congratulating himself for being a brilliant strategist.
