Your example is a very nice one. I was once fascinated by their stuff and I even bought a subscription that gave me access to much of their stuff. They have everything from custom computer sound, icon docks, active desktops, you name it. The cost is not bad less than $40 for a years access and you retain whatever you have if you don't renew. I loved it. The problem is all those little bells and whistles eat computer resources like a massive school of fictional piranha.
