Well Jody, reading is an enjoyable pastime for many but there are lots of enjoyable pastimes. I think there are other reading fringe benefits, such as greater verbal skills and general knowledge, which often impart a bright, witty and erudite personality.

If you are not a voracious reader, you are living proof that there is more than one way to skin a cat, because you certainly have those qualities.

anyway…I personally am NOT a voracious reader of books. I have always been envious of anyone who can sit down and lose themselves in a good book for hours at a time. I appreciate books, but I have never been able to sit still long enough to immerse myself in one, and I have tried. I can get half way through a good book but I can put it down…and never return. I have always felt I was missing out on the secret.

I am an observer of people in real time. That is as good as it gets with me.
