But that doesn’t stop too many people, from the entire political spectrum, of living in their own little world of predatory acquisition (power, money, fame, career) and thinking of all others as either a means to that end, or an obstacle to it.

Every human being is entitled to maximize his security and well- being, that is natural and wholesome. It is when that natural desire becomes a commodity in itself, a means of individual self-actualization and personal aggrandizement that justifies the destruction of others, that it becomes destructive and malignant.

To put it another way, everyone justly admires the warrior who can defend himself, his family, and his community from harm and violence. But no one should tolerate a bully.

The Democrats do not hold a monopoly on virtue, or the Republicans a monopoly on greed.

Unless, of course, they need to temporarily join forces to keep the rabble in their place. They only need the rest of us to work in their shops, buy their products, and fight their wars.

“They” have shown over and over they do not care. Have no inerest in solving matters. None. I know it’s hard to believe, and it’s true.

Their only interest is power which can translate into looting what is left of the middle an dlower classes, transferring the wealth to the mega-wealthy.

Looking at what the Bush Administration left it is impossible to deny they care about the US. They don’t, and would love to take anogher swipe.

Why is it so hard to see the nose on the other guys face. They sure don’t even bother to hide their agenda.

After all, if the current economic condition is all existential and unavoidable — some historical imperative — it can’t possibly be their fault. And of course, if they can’t fix it, nobody else could. Certainly not with any ideas other than theirs.

Like I said, I’ve seen it all before.

Let me help. The smart ones are working for think tanks figuring out how to con the American public into shoveling more money into large corporations.

The rest of them are helping the mega-corporations implement the think tank recommendations.

I also alluded to the fact that the traditional Republican establishment no longer needs its far right wing, and is busy stuffing that genii back into the bottle until it’s needed again.

But that was obviously not what you wanted to talk about. At least, it wasn’t in one of your prepared scripts.
