Sounds about right. The "editor" thing is an artifact like an appendix (deja vu?) that I'll clean out evenetually but does no harm. Except for confusing people, since your true rank of "senior poster" doesn't appear on your profile, so you'd sure expect "editor" to actually mean something. but no.

That seems to have fixed it. The add new post is now on the author page and the taxonomy list shows up on the new post page.

I had a feeling it had something to do with that editor designation but when I saw it on the Rita UI I thought I was wrong. Then I saw that the same problem is there for Rita's profile, editor designation and no new post option on the author page.

I still don't see senior poster on my profile. Is it supposed to be there? I assume not.

I've been looking into it.

Not finding much, I'm afraid. I use Tommy Test like Rita Book, and he has the link. Just for luck, I put in some code to make the test for "this is my blog" case-insensitive (at one point it seemd to be comparing "FrankC" to "frankc"), and removed an artifact from one of your records.

That artifact would be the "editor" thing, which is listed on profile pages as an "extra capability" because it was left in place during the upgrade: for some reason WordPress didn't overwrite "editor" with "senior_poster", it created a second entry containing it. Anyway, I'm not sure it's any more harmful than an appendix, but I removed it too, just in case.

Let's see if I got lucky. If not, we'll proceed to the temporary password trick so I can see the Zone as you see it.
