I’ve done this before and itemized it, including license fees paid to university researchers and everything else.

You didn’t want to see it then, and I suspect you don’t want to see it now.

Research the company again. Figure out how many drugs they are working on, figure out what percentage of them are funded with federal grants, etc.

A normal person would find that federal funding is what is making that vaccine possible, not private money.

I’ve had pretty good luck with flu shots.

I do prefer the needle with the killed virus rather than the nose stuff with the “weakened” virus. Usually, only side effect is a sore arm.

The new vaccine? As with most new medical treatments, unless my life is in danger without it I’m not going to be first in line to try it out. Kind of like with 1.0 versions of software.

I don’t trust vaccines….especially the flu vaccine. The only time I ever gone one (twice in the past 30 years), I got sicker than a dog…..with the flu!

The company is Inovio Pharmaceuticals, a private company that’s spent about $35 million in research and development in the past two years (according to most recent quarterly report).

They ran a public stock offering in December that raised another $4 million in funding.

Notice the research was funded with a federal grant? No mention of other monies.
