Though I've used alcaray to make a large number of names for RPG characters. Allius Carayus sounds kinda Roman or Greek or something. Al Caray sounds kind of Arab. Allie or Al for generic female and male characters. I think I've done Asian variations, but I can't remember them. I invented "Alcaray" as a name for a magic user in a D&D campaign in the late 70's.
