re: Another Apple manufacturing story

Can't remember the last time I did a re:peat subject line, but I can't think of any short snappy headline. It's a complicated subject, and it sprawls literally all around the Earth.

Not many people would defend the system, but it was a bit depressing to read in the comments to the article how many people are willing to rationalize the situation. "They're not literally being held captive on the job, so what's the problem?" was a typical tack. And looking at companies like Apple as the key to solving the problem, it was depressing to see how many people could acknowldge the horror yet hold Apple blameless. There was an uneasy edge to those comments, though, as there should be. Facts are still coming to light, and Apple could end up in a completely undefensible position. It's halfway there based on what I've found out so far.

Thanks for posting the link, Tom.
