We agree. "Significant portion" leaves room for other pathologies, too.

“So there is a significant proportion of unemployed people out there who are enduring foreclosure, lower standard of living, no health insurance and expiring unemployment insurance, just waiting for the salaries to rise on the jobs they will eventually take?”

Not entirely, there are also those who actually prefer relying on the ever-diminishing pool of public assistance to getting a job or opening their own business. And this social pathology actually seems to be expanding and spreading.

So there is a significant proportion of unemployed people out there who are enduring foreclosure, lower standard of living, no health insurance and expiring unemployment insurance, just waiting for the salaries to rise on the jobs they will eventually take?

Sort of like a strike by the unemployed? I can hear it now, husband to wife:

"We've got 'em where we want 'em, dear. They're caving, all of them. They're gonna come crawling, just you wait and see."

"Yes, my love, my protector, my provider, but the baby needs milk this morning and, dare I say, some protein this afternoon. She's losing weight."

"This is a battle, dear, total war. We are all in it together, we will all suffer together, we will all win together. Another year, maybe two, and it will all seem worth it. It's not the money, honey, it's the principal. I'm waiting this out for my honor, our honor. Meantime, tell the kid to not get sick."

That someone could say that is simply ridiculous. Moody Analytics, eh?
