Does anyone else here use it?
For a long time, I resisted signing up for it, because I thought it was another social networking thing, where you would tweet your friends incessantly about what you are up to at the moment. Something like texting via computer, I figured.
I forget why I decided to try it, but it has been a good experience for me. Whatever interests you, be it news, space science, politics, needlepoint, or whatever. It is a great way to get information that would otherwise take hours of surfing to find. When there is a particular person, organization, or subject that you wish to keep track of, you get short 150 character (I think) messages that may or may not have a link to follow for more detailed info.
I am currently following 76 subjects or people. Some I have unfollowed after finding that they spam you with too many tweets. History Channel being one that was telling me more than I cared about noodling for monster catfish.
So far I think it is neater’n hell.
