We have the entire republican party in Congress who refuse to compromise on anything. Not since pre-civil war times has there been any precedent to the obstruction we see in DC today. If it doesn't benefit wealthy whites and mega-corporations it will not pass. If a party recognizes that America is a country with a diverse population, diverse interests, diverse concerns and compromise is the only way to come close to meeting everyone's needs, they are stymied by those who regard compromise as weakness. What would be your suggestion for trying to get the needs of the country met in the face of those who would ignore all but the super-wealthy and their empire?
