This is the result of my first "raccoon dispersal" test. It involved the introduction into the pond of a medium-sized and extremely rare Venezuelan Freshwater Moray Eel.

Plan Three. Make the pond raccoon friendly. Bury the hose, maybe wrap a fine barbed wire around it and the pump, and keep plants and fish which are more or less immune to them. Your basic raccoon is as attractive as your basic koi, IMHO.

For keeping my dog from trying to go under the fence or climb it I've nailed "tack strips" in the areas where he'd have to stick his nose or put his paws. Powerful deterrent.

"Tack strips" are those things carpet layers nail around the edges of a room to hold the carpet in place. They are sold at carpet suppliers, Home Depot, etc., and are very cheap. Google "tack strip". Your basic raccoon is not going to want to mess with them.

I've done that, but they come in groups that make trapping difficult. There's a risk of stranding possibly dependent family members. However, this is apparently their mating season, so maybe there are only adults in the picture for a month or so. I can't identify sex by looking at pictures.

I need to find out where they're coming from. I'm in the middle of a development, and I have a hard time believing they trek the five blocks from the creek every night.

Nice job with the camera.

I have a neighbor who traps them, sets them free somewhere else. I don't know how they do as solitary releases into strange wildernesses.

I heard some of the most godawful screaming coming from high up in the trees on my property two different nights a few days apart a couple of years ago. Asked around and it turns out that sometimes a juvenile raccoon will want to hang around Mom after the birth of the next litter. Apparently the older raccoons driving the younger one away can be a brutal process. Good luck.
