It has to be awfully hard to pack up and move everything and everyone in the face of something which might happen somewhere else. I don't envy them a bit. I tend to be a bit pompous about it because I live on high ground in a pretty safe area. I think, though, that I might look at the San Andreas Fault on Google Earth, remember the uplifting at Mt. Whitney, and get the heck out of there. I've always thought that Russian Roulette would be best left to the Russians. They can handle it.
