I am truly sorry for you. If I were incapable of accountability, of even understanding accountability, of being responsible for what I say, of even acknowledging what I say, I would be happier but less content. There is a certain blithe cheeriness in knowing one will be correct no matter what because they are not responsible. It’s the other guy, always the other guy.

I’m not a spokesman for liberal causes or viewpoints. I am a spokesman for me, and I haven’t commented on your post. I have nothing for which to account in regard to Obama’s actions. Your quote isn’t anything I said.

You, however, made a comment about Obama by posting this on Flame. I’m asking you why you are upset with Obama when the blatantly illegal activities of Bush and Cheney didn’t bother you.

And once again we get smoke and mirrors, the term “illegal”, and no accountability.

As I said, I’m saddened by what seems to be a pervasive, unrecognized, disability.

I repeat:

I can repeat that as many times as it takes.

If you think this kind of thing was “illegal” then, is it illegal now? Where are the calls for judgment? The yells for impeachment?

The NSA program that heralded the “End of the Constitution” back then involved monitoring communications between parties outside the U.S. and parties that might or might not be inside the U.S. That was the whole ball of wax, and the Left went batfuck insane.

Read the links to the articles I posted again. The one above, and the one I posted on March 16th. Take notes on the scope of the new programs. The breadth. Notice the lack of the limits that were on the Bush-era program. Notice the phrase “purposes other than national security threats.”

See any differences?

What I am finding interesting is that it doesn't bother you any more.
