Thanks for moving the Photo ID post to Flame. That’s exactly where it belonged, from the start. This photo id demographic gerrymander swindle has been giving me fits for months now.

Diagnostic answers

Q: Why does Tom’s “Photo ID” post not appear on Current Events?
A: The thread was moved to Flame.

Q: Yes, but then why does the recent post summary list its location as “Current Events”?
A: Because there’s a gap in my software, on one side of which is the practice of moving a post by recategorizing it; and on the other, a field carried by each post identifying where it was first posted, and which is not updated by my software. I corrected it by hand just now, for aesthetic reasons.

Thanks for bringing another flaw in my software to my attention. It’s an opportunity to make it better…and I’m blessed with a surfeit of such opportunities.

Sudenly, the Photo ID thread has beeen tagged as “Flame” on “Recent Posts”. I’m sure it was tagged “Current Events” just a few minutes ago. I think maybe the Zone is losing track of some its accounting.
