I've puzzled over this and gone back over it. The issue seems to be that the police request for race was omitted from the MSNBC bit.

His simply volunteering race could make it seem as if he's racist, I'll agree. And, to my mind and the cops, the fellow's race is an important identifier. Even had he volunteered the fellow was black even without a police request it would have been appropriate, and does not indicate racism by itself. Not volunteering it so as to help police identify the fellow rapidly would have been negligent.

And I can see how to some people identifying a person as black could seem prejudicial. But only if one were prejudiced. Otherwise it's just a quality, like wearing red sweatpants or a gray sweatshirt with hoodie.

You've gone from claiming the Republicans have all but won the election to making excuses for losing. Even before the conventions.

The references to Pravda and the so-called liberal bias of the press remind me of Cheney's regular reply to a major loss by American forces in Iraq as a desperate last throe of a defeated foe.

One would think you guys would get tired of being wrong. (Iraq, Bush lying, torture, WMDs, tax cuts producing jobs instead of collapse, etc.)

You seemed to say that inept people should be avoided except by Democrats. I may have misunderstood you, but I am pretty good with English. Not so good with irrationality, though. That's why I asked.

And yet you supported a complete joke. I wondered how you could do that, not expecting an answer to the question from you.

How do you reconcile that with your avid support of Palin in the last election. It wasn't just McCain - Palin you supported, but Palin herself.

There's a lot of people who would be good VP candidates, and would make damn good presidents down the road.

<p>Well, as the article says, you sure want to avoid anyone who has "been on the job for just a few years, or lack[s], the experience of having previously gone through the vetting process and campaigning on the national level."</p>

Unless you're a Democratic presidential candidate who's pretty sure the media's on your side no matter what, and will break its back avoiding any "vetting" at all of you, while attacking your opponents down to the microscopic level on every front.

Palin says much the same thing in the article.

Doesn't matter who the candidate for VP is. We know which side Pravda is going to back, and who they're going to try to destroy. You can tell in the article that MSNBC desperately wants Romney to pick some faceless vanilla doughboy for VP.

It's only April, and the Democrats are crapping themselves. Why?
