LarryJ's posts were always fascinating. I believe his USAF expertise was in satellite technology. (? it's been a long time)

I'm an aviation nut, especially fighters, but he'd already forgotten more than I could ever hope to learn on the subject.

What I miss most was his outlook on things in general. :)

There use to be a photo of him (and fam) on the old album.

Sorry I can't help on contact info.

Jeff you've been around awhile if you remember Larry J

He left long before the first move to WikiTiki. He flew in Alaska and was an aviation enthusiast.

We all used to follow the developments of "skycars". One of the most noteworthy was the Moller Skycar. It always looked like just an investment dump to me. Still very cool though.

I've been keeping my eye on the Martin JetPack

Larry didn't make the jump from the Zone That Was to the DamnTikiWiki, so I don't have an e-mail addy for him. Miss him, though, hope he is well.

There used to be a flying car marketed back when I was in high school. It was similar in concept to modern versions I've seen lately, a 4-seater whose prop disengaged so the engine could drive it like an automobile. The wings detached and could be towed behind the cabin like a small trailer, so you could land at an airport, convert to car mode, and drive to your ground destination.

You may be thinking of ljk, who used to post here until the politics drove him off. In fact, he was the guy who first turned me on to the Zone. He and I correspond occasionally (he published my first two articles in his magazine back in 1995!) and I still get his email newsletter.

I've lost his address, but next time I get his bulletin I'll forward your question to him.
