It was similar in concept to modern versions I've seen lately, a 4-seater whose prop disengaged so the engine could drive it like an automobile. The wings detached and could be towed behind the cabin like a small trailer, so you could land at an airport, convert to car mode, and drive to your ground destination. He and I correspond occasionally (he published my first two articles in his magazine back in 1995!) and I still get his email newsletter.
