Thank you Frank. I can honestly say I could be great friends with me. My main purpose at this point in my life is to be authentic...on the Zone, Facebook...and real life. If I came to visit anyone, they would know what to expect from me. Any issues they had would be with themselves and feeling intruded upon. I would leave everyone's house cleaner than it was before I landed because that is my mantra.
(A throw back from my Girl Scout days)

I is a good puppy...I would say kitteh...but oh what remarks would ensue. ;)

Now that's what I'm talking about. I am pumped and I can't wait. LOL

For anyone that wonders where all this comes from. Years and years ago there was a thread where we were all BSing about having a getogether and who might provide room and shelter if it happened in their city.

Tom pointed out in his usual courteous way that he preferred to keep his internet associations separate from his real life and he would not be participating in any such foolishness and certainly not putting anyone up for the night.

It was in no way offensive and I got a chuckle out of it because I knew it was all idle chatter and while I might be a little more open to it than Tom I probably wouldn't want to be a host myself. Well, maybe Jody would be okay if I could get Alice out of the house.

I guess it is my twisted sense of humor but I am reminded of it from time to time and find myself belly laughing at a mental image of Tom getting panicky when a computer friend calls from the airport and asks to be picked up for a visit.

If I am not remembering it exactly as it happened forgive me. I never let facts stand in the way of a story

TB told me he wouldn't let you go for at least a month. He has a list of 30 restaurants where he'd like buy you dinner, and has an uncle who has a car to loan you.

He told me it would be a shame to let you get away without experiencing 3 or 4 days in San Francisco and that he would insist on the Mark Hopkins Outside Terrace Suite, similar to the Terrace Suite but with an outside patio that has a glass windbreaker that you can admire the beautiful bay and city views which includes Grace Cathedral partial views of the Golden Gate and Alcatraz Island. One king bedroom with separate parlor walk in closet his and her sinks and shower, separate whirlpool bath in the marble bathroom. You would be his guest, so take it easy on the honor bar and room service.

He needs to know when you can make it, as there are any number of college and pro games that take a bit of time for him to get tickets. Concert's too, as he knows you won't want to sit around every evening.

It would be a bit much to ask him to fly you there, but he would. I'd just show up with a copy of this post, and the next 30 days will be heaven. Breakfast in bed, lunch on the patio, and dinner at the best places SF and environs have to offer.

You can't beat a deal like that. He's a helluva guy to offer that. You guys must have a great backchannel relationship. Congratulations.

Jody, anyone should envy your personality as it comes across in this milieu. You are a peach macushla.

I would also say that each and every one of you who remain in this community seem to have personalities that mesh with me and I believe that I would enjoy face time with you all, individually or as a group.

In fact if I ever get to northern California I plan to spend a few days as a guest in Tom's home. (Just kidding Tom)

In spite of the fact that the Jung test has no real reliability and the associations that they try to make with careers such as teaching etc is pure BS. I felt that it just so happened to fit me well for the particular time I answered the questions.

It indicated that I am an extrovert which I am but only weighted at less than 15% if I recall correctly. I can be quite introverted at times and I definitely enjoy my own company and solitude. It said I probably have few friends and many acquaintances. This is bang on.

I have always had many acquaintances and just a few friends. My close friends seem to like me a lot and they tend to bare their soul to me. To my knowledge I have few enemies and while my acquaintances don't hang out with me they seem to have esteem for me and they often seek my counsel.

To people that don't know me and to some that do, I am thought of as somewhat intimidating. Alice and my close friends laugh about this and while they are not affected they leave no doubt that this is an issue for me with strangers and some acquaintances.

At home, I spend most of my time in my office or bedroom and I do not hang out with family members. If they want to spend time with me they come to me. I actually spend a good deal of time with my grandsons imparting great wisdom :) that they seem to appreciate since they came to me and not the other way around.

As silly as it sounds I am much like the Godfather in my family
