As I've mentioned before, we long ago passed the point of diminishing returns. Al- Quaeda has been beheaded and have to meet at weddings across the border to avoid the drones (sometimes) and the Taliban have been scattered. Our attempt to build a democratic ally has succeeded only in creating a corrupt puppet state that will forever require massive infusions of American humiliation, blood and gold. and too much tribute to the Pakis. We need to go, every additional enemy we kill will require too many American and too many civilian lives. We have accomplished our original mission, brought down the Taliban and crushed Al-Quaeda.
