Now that's good

You are obviously an experienced North Westerner. You've hit most of the major points but left off how snow causes us to go into instant paralysis.

The trip to Bellevue is about 45minutes- at 5:00am. I worked tech support for a tax software company in Bellevue for 2 months during the tax season. They had changed from an Access database to an SQL database and the transition was ugly. 14 hours a day listening to irate costumers and doing our best to solve their problems.

I’ll get around to sending them my resume, as soon as I find the floppy disk where it resides.

Thanks for the help Bowser

I'm guessing you're going it alone. That's OK, just thought I'd try to help. I wish you the best.

Here's a sample.

"How would you feel about moving to the Seattle area?"

I already live in the Seattle area, and thus have acclimatized. My shoes are all high-top for wading, my truck has a schnorkel and my house is on stilts. My kids can swim like salmon and my dog is a Newfoundland. I've painted my house green so the moss won't show. My other car is a Zodiac. I love coffee, latte, mocha, anything.

All those things are going to be new to anyone else, and will take time from work. A lot of time from work. I'm ready right now.

I love Seattle. I have fragile, delicate skin, and like to avoid the sun. Even so I have to stay inside away from bright lights during August and September. I have serious allergies, and asthma, and need to pollen washed from the air by the rain. As it is I'm almost bedridden 4 months a year, April, May, June and July.

(I want to assure you I am in excellent health, and like to go to the gym where they have a spa.)

Moving to Seattle is no problem for me, and I love living here not just for health reasons. Wonderful microbreweries, and Washington wine is the best in the Northwest. In fact, the mellow climate makes the ales I lovingly brew as mild and strong as the best in England. My apple trees make the best brandy as well as cider and the small still cranks out a couple of gallons of the best, the clearest corn mash a week. Tell me where else in the world you can enjoy such a variety.

So, I'm your man. A Seattle man born and bred, but reared all over the world if you catch my drift.

We all have our troubles, our burdens, our handicaps, our crosses to bear, little things we may be ashamed of. But we don't put them on the title line, VRB. We're pretty open-minded here, but there are limits.

Uncouth. Not prudent.

Ya know what I mean? Ya hear what I'm sayin'? Get the gist?

By the way, between 5:00 AM and Midnight 15 miles from Bellevue to anywhere is the longest 15 miles in the world. It's best traveled in a mobile home with full propane tanks.

If you work 8 hours, take an hour for lunch, and manage to average 2 miles an hour you can get home, kiss your wife, wave at the kids, and head back to work for another great day.

The reason they build airplanes up there is because it's the only way to get around.

It's a high gas mileage trip, though. If you just put it in neutral the guy behind you will push and not even know he's doing it. He was probably pushing anyway.

I think governments should explore the solar system, (interstellar exploration may be a bit premature)identifying targets of interest and opportunity and developing new technologies.

If private enterprise wants to follow up by economically exploiting what is out there, fine. No one is stopping them.

Personally, I think Humanity should be free to expand throughout the entire solar system, while studying the places they visit. Everything outside the solar system should be explored first, so as to get a good idea of what's out there.
